What a consist!!!
So, curious, how did everyone find out about this? Telephone?
who tipped everyone off???
I really have no idea, being a latecomer on the scene that day. (Drove by after work and there was a waiting mob)
It used to be someone knew someone and the word was relayed and fans notified each other by home phone. Of course if you went to “The Jct” there was always a bunch hanging out there, as well as guys driving by, like I happened to.
The tip must have come from Toronto, but alas, there is no one left of the “in-crowd” to ask now.
I made an error in my caption here too, Steve. There were 4 OTHERS besides me……Bill McArthur, Doug Page, Reg Button and Bill Mathews. I guess you could say ‘all guys who didn’t have to answer to anybody’ at the time.
LOL. that’s allright. Just curious. Love how things were back then.
This is Mr Robin Reikel,s work. He worked at Power Berua at the time. Joke was hom cups of coffee did this take.
