Caption: Operating on what was probably CN #577 or the equivalent, CN GP40-2LW's 9551 and 9461 (in matching CN North America paint) head south along the north service track of the Weston Sub through Malton with a string of cars to interchange to CP at West Toronto Yard. They're passing by just south of Malton GO station, passing the former Orenda Engines plant (now Magellan Aerospace) in the background. The tall concrete sections of the plant on the right were part of the engine test lab facilities where aircraft engines were put through their paces.

The switch on the left off the south service track is for a spur that ran west through the middle of the International Centre parking lot and crossed Airport Road to access Boeing's Malton assembly plant (formerly McDonnell-Douglas Canada (MDCan), once the home of A.V.Roe where the Avro Arrows were built). In its later years the plant made wing assemblies and shipped them down to the Long Beach plant on special railroad wing cars. The operation lasted into the mid-2000's until Boeing closed and demolished the plant, and the spur was removed and/or paved over.
