Caption: Pictured here at the Hunter Street Tunnel, a rather late 247 is getting a push up the hill as TH11's first order of business on this Thursday morning. Immediately after the morning GO trains had cleared, 247 and the crew of TH11 proceeded north on the Hamilton Sub for the journey up the hill. 247 had been in Hamilton for a while now, and had been waiting in Kinnear for 0718 to arrive, the time the last GO train departs. By the time the pushers got to me, the train had built quite a bit of speed and was rather fun to watch.
Making this even more of a treat, a 2-246 was waiting at Desjardins for 247 to clear, which turned out to be a unit grain train. I shot it at Vinemount, shown here, before having to get to work. It was a good morning for railfanning the Hamilton Sub - indeed, a rare occurrence around these parts.
