what's interesting
The Grand Trunk Pacific Railway ( GTP ) founded Fitzhugh Alberta in 1911 by the by placing a siding at this location ( Fitzhugh was a GTP Vice President)
In 1913 the GTP renamed Fitzhugh to Jasper, recognizing the importance of nearby Jasper House founded 1913 by the North West Company
Present Jasper station built by the CNR circa 1926
The station was declared a heritage railway station by the federal government in 1992.
Jasper station currently owned by Parks Canada, tenants include National Car Rental, Hertz car rental (since closed), Rocky Mountainer RMR, VIA Rail and at the time image captured Greyhound, who quit all routes west of Sudbury October 31, 2018

Nice. Always fun to be around the station at train time. Looks like we were in Jasper the same snowy day.
