Caption: I was catching 514 leading Amtrak 64/VIA 97, when I heard the 0700 yard job call for a light down the hole. After shooting 514 at Parkdale Yard, I went out fishing for CN and found them outside of the gates for Stelco. Pictured here, the 0700 yard job is passing by MANA on its way into Stelco with a lone tank. From what I have gathered, this track was formerly known as the East Side, but I understand however that SOR referred to it as Hilton Works, and to be honest I am not quite sure what CN calls it.
After dropping the tank, they lifted one lone coil and shoved back out to their train (a single boxcar for Parkdale Warehousing and a Nova Chemicals hopper) which was waiting at Irondale. CP had dropped the hopper for CN at the interchange the day prior, but I believe this was a mistake and they were supposed to actually set off a Bunge hopper. Tying onto the two cars and proceeding eastward, they dropped the erroneously delivered hopper back for CP at Adams Yard, and then went to Parkdale Warehousing to set off the boxcar. Once done there, they shoved back out with the coil car and then threw the switch for the New Gages Spur to head to Parkdale Yard. I called it a day at this point however.

Stelco jobs were once or twice a day, often CN/CP would go in and lift 50 cars each..
it could happen again but the blast furnace needs to be operable for that kind of output.
The sound of three GP9′s blasting out of the tunnel with 50 loaded cars was nothing short of amazing.
