Working the north end of CN BIT, CN sd70m-2 8890 has just lifted a long stash of intermodel cars from the loading track and now throttles up and heads north far enough to let the last intermodel car of the consis clear the switch before the conductor re-aligns it to allow the train to be spotted on the departure track of BIT. Time was 17:44 and photo was taken on top of the bustling Queen st overpass.

  1. Cool shot, Graydon.

  2. Really neat view of a seldom photographed yard Graydon.

  3. Thanks guys and yep Jay your right about that. Even though Brampton is truly one of the biggest cities in Ontario, I really don’t thino many railfans are from here which is why not many people photograph this yard. You ever visited Brampton? I do have a couple young railfan friends tho who will hopefully contribute to this site in the future and dw, I plan to visit this yard much more in the spring!

Speaking of this yard tho, I also had one quick question in mind, anyone on here aware of the train ID for the CN local which runs up this line to Chrysler and back to exchange autoracks in the VERY EARLY morning hrs?

  4. Might be 577 or 579

  5. Yes, I have visited Brampton before, but never this bridge over BIT. I hope to one day.
