Caption: We are going back a few years, but if I remember correctly this picture was taken from the edge of the CPR property. The weather on that day was typical for someone who worked out of the lower mainland. A dull day with "Liquid Sunshine". CP 8812 was working the yard so I just stood there and watched it for awhile, then I photographed it. If you had the proper personal equipment, and a signed release it was easy to carefully photograph the Revelstoke yards. Today Revelstoke is a shell of what it once was, but Golden is happy. For history's sake I'm glad I caught a few of the first generation diesel locomotives. I used to be able to say that the London built GM locomotives were made just down the street from where I grew up, but I can't say that any more!
