  1. Classic shot. Wow. Even the caboose looks pristine. Just from the picture, you get a sense of the life back then. Just a little different than now!

  2. Cabooses were beautiful things.

  3. Fresh out of the car shop for sure. Very likely first Script paint job for it. Note that ends are a lighter red for better visibility by approaching train. Note too that in later times one rear and one front (opposite) window was blanked off. This to force conductor and trainman to sit facing opposite direction to watch for any problems.
