MLW RS-18's CN 3700 and CN 3644 were stopped with a train of cylindrical covered hoppers east of Quebec City on CN's spur along the north shore of the St Lawrence River, in the vicinity of Montmorency Falls. The hoppers could be carrying cement, or maybe inputs for cement making, as the nearby industry looks to me like a cement manufacturing facility.
As of 2019, could not find any trace of this plant using mapping resources - my conclusion is that it has been demolished.

  1. You conclusion is correct, demolished around 2000. It was indeed a cement factory, Ciment du St Laurent in french since we speak french here. It was located at the left side of the city of Montmorency, the Montmorency falls are located on the right side of the city. This photo is amazing because there are almost no photos of trains on the web during that time on the subdivision, which was the CN Murray Bay subdivision at the time, now owned by Le Massif de Charlevoix. A rare Gem since I’m looking for photos like that during that time frame, mainly 70-80. Well done! :)
