Caption: GMD GP35 unit CP 5019 leads an afternoon freight train south-west out of Trois-Rivieres yard, assisted by MLW RS-10 CP 8559. The engines are at Rue Bonaventure grade crossing, moving at moderate speed with much of the train still rolling out of the yard. Probably the train's destination was Montreal - based on the power and the green flags, which indicate a scheduled train with second section to follow. Trains branching off northward to Shawinigan were smaller, usually rating one diesel of lower HP than a GP35. Scan & caption by John Pittman.

John, is that you waving?
I was older than that when father took the picture. When we left T-R, the number of railfans there dropped pretty close to zero.
Interesting, still a great photo. Was just curious if was family or not!
Was concerned this might be too-family for RPca – apparently it’s OK. The lad in the picture is my youngest brother. Some of his images at: http://www.railpictures.ca/author/AlanP
Oh heck no. A picture telling a story is better than just a picture. It belongs here!
