After working around Ojibway all morning, the 7am job heads back east to work a few more customers before heading to CP and CN to interchange traffic. The construction in the background is part of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project. The 401 (which currently ends at Ojibway Parkway) will cross the parkway and the tracks. A toll plaza and what I assume will be Duty Free stores will be on the other side before the bridge. As of now the expected year of completion for the entire project is 2024 and will probably be one of the most significant infrastructure projects in North America over the several years.

  1. Amazing shot Mike and wow you definitely gotta revisit this scene once it’s all complete! And maybe a couple times during the project as well to capture the construction progress? Once again I love this shot!

  2. Thank you! I do plan on trying to shoot a train here through each portion of the construction.

  3. Girders were supposed to start going up for the bridge here on Jan 14, but due to a Union dispute construction was postponed. The first section is due to go up tonight with nightly closures over the next couple weeks.
