  1. These units were usually beaten to a pulp by the time Guilford released them. Why would CP acquire one?

  2. They had them on lease from Helm (HATX) for a while and likely needed more 4-motor power at the time they were bought, account the last of the C424′s and RS18u’s had just retired the previous year. This was back when CP was buying secondhand SD40-2′s as well.
