Bit of a mess here. I am on the Maple Av overpass looking east, and the crossing behind all this clutter at Nelles Rd.  On June 29th 1978 westbound #387, with 78 cars, jumped the tracks. A total of 29 cars derailed. The cleanup is progressing swiftly to get the line reopened.
I do not recall the cause of the derailment.
