Just before 8am in the heat of morning rush hour, GO 549 pushes its train past Scott St. Interlocking Tower, just east of Toronto Union Station. Decades old and responsible for controlling the flow of trains in and out of Union Station and the USRC, the three interlocking towers are facing obsolescence once the new signal system comes online. John St. will be demolished, Cherry St. will hopefully be donated to the TRHA, and Scott St will serve as a backup tower for the USRC.
