Caption: The sun is sinking in the west as VIA #77 is on time with its' scheduled 1800hr station stop at Burlington West (Freeman) station. As soon as the locomotive begins it's throaty rumble and spews a good head of smoke, accelerating west, we know this is a product of MLW. This VIA 6758 is one of only two MLW FPA-2u engines on the roster, the other being 6759. Both were gone from the railroad by 1987, with the 6758 finding a new home on the shortline New York and Lake Erie, a small outfit just to the SW of Buffalo NY.
