After the second world war, CP began a program in British Columbia in which they updated and rebuilt stations in many localities. Those stations suffering from age related problems were replaced with various styles of flat roofed nondescript buildings such as this example in Creston. As of this writing the building still exists, surrounded by miscellaneous 'railroad supplies and such; the building is used now by MoW crews.
