What a brilliant photograph, in both senses of the word. In most photos of these units, they are operating short hood leading. Some on here may not be aware, but they were equipped with dual cab controls. This made the cabs cramped inside. On my brief career with CN before going to CP, I was called for an Oshawa turn out of Mimico & we had one of these Rs18s, an unknown B unit & a FPA4. Passenger power sets were borrowed sometimes for the 4 hour round trip freight run. They were returned to Spadina in time for a morning passenger run. The biggest thing I recall about the trip was that I missed grabbing the hoop at Cabin D on our way east.
