Caption: Back in the '80s Parry Sound was a great place to see trains. Especially the Canadian, as it was a daylight run back then. Here is the northbound, just accelerating out of the CN Parry Sound station, I am standing on the north side of the Isabella St crossing for this shot, using an old Pentax K-1000 which was probably the best 35MM clunker I ever owned. And this old image looks like it could have been shot yesterday (it is a neg, not a slide!) ; VIA 6550, 6636 and 6632. The FP7A leader was once CP 1400, (there is still 'red' on the bell and around the window frame)and it made the rounds over the years and is back to being CP 1400 once again!!! Upgraded to an FP9...in Script !!!
