This is about as old as they get in my personal collection. Early 1974. Here's the CN Budds as witnessed from Waterdown Rd bridge, back in the day when one could stand there and not be driven mad by vehicle traffic. It was actually rather quiet. To the left of the big overhead signal structure is where more track and the Aldershot GO station are located today. I like this shot for the massive storage of concrete blocks, all part of the old J.Cooke Concrete Blocks Ltd that used to be located here. Don't know why they left or where they went.
This scene is an interesting one to recall the next time you drive over the CN mainline out in Aldershot. Time machine, anyone?

  1. I just shot here today, pretty close angle. Will submit later tonight. I was wondering what the open space/parking south of the track was before. Also different with such a long yard lead now.

  2. Use to ride those all the time. Thanks for submitting.
