Caption: CSX Sarnia-Chatham train D725 is southbound out of Wallaceburg with 93 cars, and I'm standing at SNS Wallaceburg, which is the sign facing the tracks (CP Style) at the Mile 40 concrete milepost and was the only really useable siding to meet trains in the latter years, at 5343 feet in length. CP 6059 typical of the junk assigned by CP to run-through on CSX to Sarnia, CP would take it as (524/525) from Detroit to Chatham and CSX Sarnia crews the rest of the way. What I don't know is if this train used CP power from the US originating terminal (Toldeo?) or only from Detroit. The two CSX units were left in Chatham for the D724 later that afternoon (1400 Tues/Thurs Blenheim turn). Corrections welcome - that Slow sign is what attracted me to this spot... an interesting detail for the modeller types.

All of this is essentially abandoned now, not sure if it's still in place - Chatham Kent had the line for sale for scrap or operation last I checked.... and was paying about $50k to maintain all the infrastructure per year with no trains..
