Caption: CN 8007 (SD70M-2) leads GECX 9520 (Dash 8-40CW, ex-UP 9520) at Oakville Sub MP 35.5 on a sunny autumn morning. They are powering eastbound intermodal train 148 up the grade from CN Bayview and CN Snake (signals in the distance).
"007" has lost its front CN logo, the cabside zeros are undersize, while the 7 is imperfectly painted - looks like a partial repaint of the orange-red on the cab.
GECX 9520 has a lot of black over-paint on the front - probably to cover a UP wings and shield emblem, or maybe it's a November moustache.
Has anyone seen a GECX ex-UP unit which has/had the big US flag on the side? I wonder if there is any issue with over-painting that.
