Caption: This might be the last photo of SOR 4200 in service, I didn't think much of it on my safari this day, but i'm glad to at least have this. I knew a bunch of units were in process of being scrapped at the shops, 1752, 4205, and 1756 on or about October 4 2008, seeing these two paired made me think that was it and they may survive. Nope, by October 12 4200 was tied up in the deadline next in line for scrapping along with cabless slug 1200. By the third week of October, both were gone. On this safari I photographed two jobs, this one, and about 10 minutes after this photo I found 1359/1755 puttering around Dofasco Central Shipping's tin mill with a train. I got a shot of each and just left.. did not follow.. I should have :) To do this again.

Ten years ago today, this pic. I was unaware they were scrapped in the city………just looking at how the colours have changed…not much happening in that regard around my neighbourhood yet.
I’ve never seen anything on this stretch of track. Neat to see.
I did a co-op in the technical services building within sight of this trackage. Many times I watched Stelco switchers trundle by but never got a single photo. Tours of the property also netted zero photos, but lots to see back in the plant! It’s a neat area of Hamilton, but not the easiest to navigate!
