Caption: TTC PCC 4467 takes on a load of passengers on a sunny afternoon at Dundas West Subway Station, before departing bound for the annual Canadian National Exhibition held at the end of each summer. Special shuttle buses and streetcars were run by the TTC to shuttle crowds to and from the CNE from various points in the city. The routing of this run was likely Dundas West station, down Dundas St., down Dufferin St. and ending at Dufferin Loop, located by the CN Oakville Sub just outside the west entrance of the CNE.
In the background, the yellow building was occupied by Hertz rent-a-car, and behind that on the other side of Dundas Street was the large Canada Bread factory (Toastmaster sign on the roof).

Bet it must’ve smelled like bread. Everytime I went to a friend’s house in school it would smell like cookies because of her proximity to the Peek Freans plant on O’Connor Drive.
That’s pure torture.
