Notice the interlocking rods on both sides of the tracks. The two tracks of the CASO Sub (MCRR) curve around to the left while the single track on the right is the interchange to the TH&B. Coyle Yard and the CASO Sub are long gone. Bridge 15 still exists and this section of the old Welland Canal is used for recreational purposes now.

    On google earth – you can see where that yard was. Interesting.

    Yes, stock cars were the telltale for NY4. Usually quite a number of stock cars at the head end. You might have seen 8 or 10 of them destined for somewhere in the USA.

    Yes, after all these years, the outline of the old TH&B yard is still visible from the air.

    Once or twice a week 1 of those stock cars would be hogs for Kowalski in the Niagara Falls/Buffalo region.
    It was livestock heaven when this train went by at 50mph… !
