Caption: Happy birthday to me! I am fortunate that my place of employment gives us our birthdays off work, and what better way to spend a birthday than trackside? With a snowy day in the mix, I didn't want to go too far and didn't really want to drive in the snow either, so I strapped on my winter great including big winter boots and trudged the 30 or so minute walk down to Stuart Street. I don't think I looked much different than the SOR crew member in the shot, other than I wasn't wearing high vis. SOR was up to their usual switching in the yard when I got there, and not long after 550 joined the fray, led by a very characterful unit: 4726. One whose presence I miss around here! It truly has a face only a railfan could love.
