Well now, here's something you won't see every day. A very nice gentleman named John was practicing his Cello to the sounds of the rails as CN 2723 with PRLX 236 hauling tank cars rolled on by mile 30 on the Halton sub. Midway through the train CN 8849 with the track rail train was getting a lift.

  1. This tops the pair of photo’s already posted today of the 2723 & 236. Definitely way out there in the land of different and unusual. Thanks a bunch for posting this and making it a trio of pictures. :-)

  2. Does anyone have John’s contact? We literally lost (went missing) a Cello player a while ago… This is amazing!!!

  3. So what’s going on here? Is this feller playing a song to try and get Mooney or Snake out of the grass and to Mile 30??

  4. I do have his contact information.

  5. Wow in 36 years of railroading i have seen just about everything from sex, drugs, nudity and crazy people beside, under, along, on top of the rails. I have never seen a cello player or any solo musician serenading beside the main. I love this!

  6. I am a rail photographer and violinist and often practise while waiting for a train. You boys should get out more!
