After seeing VIA's 40th Anniversary train down on the waterfront in Sarnia, I took advantage of the extra time I had while my daughter had her nap! Hoping to catch something on the old Stathroy Subdivision, I ended up o Camlachie Road. In the distance I faintly spotted a yellow signal lined for a westbound to Sarnia. Not long after, my patience paid off in the form of this CN freight with GECX 2037. After coming through Wyoming and rounding the bend for the home stretch, it slowed to a stop as if the crew had known I had wanted to do a photo shoot of the train. Not everyone who was stopped by the train shared my delight. But for me, it reminded me of what the Strathroy Subdivision used to be as a kid...double tracked with both freights and passenger trains in either direction.

  1. Single track..Hunters doing. Hopefully it will soon be back to double track. More passenger trains I am not sure about.
