This 'chateauesque' style station was was built by the Canadian Northern Railway, and eventually it became part of the CPR. The building was abandoned when I shot this in the summer of 1976 and by the following year I understand it was demolished.  A real shame, because it was solid, and could have had a nice future. (The noticeable distortion in this shot is on account I had to use a wide angle lens back then)

  1. Sad. CP has a habit of demolishing stations. This building would have made a great retail space and saved some railway history :-(
