ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH. Mist and rain were the order of the day as the Whistler Mountaineer crossed the Cheakamus Canyon Trestle on August 24, 2008. Departing North Vancouver with his oldest son William on a Father-Son trip to Whistler, the photographer was able to capture a part of British Columbia in all its rugged beauty from an open air car as the train climbed some 2000 feet from sea level at Squamish until departure at Whistler.

Mist and rain might be the order of your day, but if you were out there now it would be smoke, smoke and more smoke. So you did well.

Thank you Sir. We certainly made memories that day. I could only pray that they get that same weather right now and that it last for weeks. In fact, it was raining so hard in North Vancouver that I could not get a frontal shot of the train before departure. Same on arrival in Whistler!
