Caption: Sometimes its the little details I miss the most. I have to admit, even though Cando's paint scheme is not very colourful it still looks very sharp. I never gave it much thought most of the time when the Cando truck would arrive, often up to a half hour before the train at Streetsville. Its purpose was simple, help out the train crew and speed up the switching process, throw switches, and open and close derails as needed. This practise has come and gone with Trilliums take over, and I have to admit I miss it, especially the early warning that the train is coming. May 4, 2018 was just another day for the OBRY crew. The weather was lousy, but the fog always brings me out, just incase there is a unique photo to be made. Unfortunately the fog began to burn off a bit earlier then I wanted, but I couldn't resist capturing a very short northbound train passing the Cando truck after completing switching in town. The crew member heading to the truck is calling out the all clear to depart town, and sadly Cando would have less then two months remaining on this day before handing over the operations to Trillium.

Great catch Marcus! Nothing beats shortline operations
Great people shot Marcus ! Without exception, Cando has great Managers, and as you stated, he lined things up to help the crew, not spy on them.
With the work done, Tyler (the Conductor) is probably asking if the hogger wants a muffin from Tim’s. Knowing we seldom physically stopped for coffee or lunch, the Ops Manager would drive the
Conductor to Tim’s and back, and off we’d go. The Class 1′s could learn plenty from the shortlines about the treatment of Employees !!
