I’m amazed SD40-2′s can run on industrial spurs and the like due to weight restrictions and tight curves. Back in the day they were even prohibited from running on certain branch lines even! Colourful set. cheers Matt!

The nicest freight locomotives ever built. There is something about these SD40/45T-2 that set them apart from other locomotives. I was lucky enough to see this class of unit pulling tonnage over Donner, Cajon, Tehachapi and the Beaumont Pass in their SP/Cotton Belt livery.
