Canadian Pacific train #629 was a late afternoon passenger train out of Toronto (for Windsor & Detroit) on the Galt Sub. During the week Budd RDC's were used (known by CP as "Dayliners"), but on Fridays increased traffic required extra coaches and a locomotive to be added. This Friday on one Spring 1954 day, F2a-class 4-4-4 "Jubilee" 3002 is the power, leading #629 through Erindale with the normally assigned RDC's mixed in with the added passenger cars.

    Amazing and beautiful. Now the (censored) apartment buildings around there probably outnumber the poles!!!

    Canadians should get on their government to retrieve the unwanted and unloved “Jubilee” remaining on Steamtown (US Nat. His. Site) property. She was once beautifully kept, now being allowed to rust into a disgraceful eyesore. One person in the know, feels that restored, she could set a land speed record for a steam locomotive on a straight-away.

    The two tail end coaches likely came off in London. Upon arrival at Windsor only the two Budd Cars would be pulled through the tunnel by DRT motors.
