Caption: YESTERDAY'S YARD - As viewed from the bridge crossing the tracks, Terra Transport Extra 936 West with three units and about twenty containers prepares to depart the St. John's Yard for Port aux Basques late on the grey evening of July 28, 1988. Knowing that time was quickly running out for the Newfoundland operations, this was the among some of the very last full length revenue trains to operate westbound and the very last to be captured by the photographer. Despite the pristine condition of the NF210's, within eight weeks they would be shut down for good on the Island, with lead 936 being preserved at Avondale, 941 sold to F.C. del Pacifico of Nicaragua and 919 being scrapped.
