Back in around 1984, running short of hump GP38-2′s, they tried 2 SD40′s for the hump with some success…except for being power short on the main.
SD40′s are now very common on the hump and in puller service. Nice shot Mike!

I often commute on Creditstone road and get a chance to see what’s stirring at the Mac yard diesel shops. I remember seeing these SD60Fs standing there until the end of August.
