Nice to see a matched set of MLW C-424s come out of Montrose Yard and head stateside. In this instance I am standing on the Minolta Tower Walkway over the tracks, and in the background upper right is the corner of Oakes Dr & Livingston. As usual busy with tourists. Power set is CP 4229 with 4231 and 4228.

  1. Hard to believe this is all gone now :(
    Great shot!

  2. Well; you really can’t blame either CP or the City of Niagara Falls for wanting the trains away from the tourist zone. CP would have extra expense due to slow orders and watchful crewmen. Niagara Falls depends on tourists for it’s economic life now and even night time only would still elicit complaints about noise.
We trainwatchers are a minority; to most people they are noisy dangerous eyesores.

  3. Beautiful
