Caption: Yeah, nowadays I would not go out in such crappy weather, but in my much more enthusiastic days, it didn't matter what the weather called for, I went for a wander. Here I am out in a sleet storm, and finding some interesting stuff down in Hamilton's CN Stuart St yard. Former TH&B coaches 75, 73 and 303. I had never seen them before, and never saw them again. Even the TH&B roster states two of the three were scrapped in 1976, so I am not sure what was up with this trio. The "PSPX" marking stands for Phillips Petroleum, so perhaps these cars were going to be used by the company for transferring employees to remote areas? For the record, Conoco and Phillips merged in 2002 to become ConocoPhillips. Information on these old cars would be much appreciated. In photo, note on extreme right the now razed CN enginehouse for location ID.

Ah-h-h…thank you, Ray. I knew something was amiss, but couldn’t arrive at any other conclusion than Phillips. So these could have been sold to Paikin and perhaps began life anew?
73 and 75 were part of 8 sold to Edwards Corp. (whoever they were) rebuilt and sold to NdeM. Photo Trains Dec. 60 p.9
303 went ot ORA they sent it back to Pakin.

As far as I know all th&b coaches have been scrapped/dismantled except for coach #74 Wich is still in service at the south Simcoe heritage railway in Tottenham Ontario
