Caption: A very slow trek down the CASO, GTW 5937 and CP 5746 are seen here approaching Gleeson Line, former site of one of the infamous pairs of wig-wags along with a hotbox detector that existed here in operation until the line was abandoned in 2011. This being the first train down the line since May 2011 - over 78 weeks - there were many delays, including every crossing. Several crossings had been paved over and all gravel roads had been covered in road debris, so personnel were sent out in the days before this to clear out the flangeways. It was still rough. CN and CP provided power on this rail train as they both had ownership in the line. These rails would be gone by the end of December.

Great image! I remember those old wig-wags, never saw a train pass them though. Sad the CASO is gone, I’m glad I spent one day following the rail train.
