The old Devlin CN station as it looked in 1976. My recollection of the exact location of this building is hazy.I remember spotting it as I drove along Hwy 71/11. Obviously outliving its purpose, it appears to have been relocated to become a private residence. However, nothing happened. The station building sat in this location undisturbed for more than 20 years. I would assume now it has succumbed to the ravishes of time, and is no longer. For the heck of it, I checked the population on an Ontario map closest year to when I shot this photo, and the population of Devlin in 1972 was only 63. Hard to imagine stations were once like post offices, in fact, they were in part, and they served a purpose everywhere.
