THOMPSON RIVER TRACKS. VIA Rail's train No. 1, the Canadian, has departed Kamloops North and is headed west to its next stop at Ashcroft, British Columbia. As seen from the Prestige Dome'Glacier Park', the scenery is nothing short of spectacular as the train follows the contours of the Canadian National tracks along the beautiful Thompson River while crossing over it several times. On the opposite side and quite a treat for the photographer and his wife, were the Canadian Pacific tracks on which many of that company's trains were encountered running right across from VIA's flagship on this beautiful afternoon.

  1. What wild looking countryside!! Very impressive.

  2. Thanks Mr. Mooney! It was an amazing trip to say the least and one that I hope to recreate again when the refurbished cars are put into service. Sincerely, Ken
