Caption: VANCOUVER VISTA. After an amazing 3 night 4 day journey on VIA Rail's famous 'Canadian' all the way from Toronto, the photographer and his wife have just disembarked from what can be truly classified as the trip of a lifetime. Despite departing some 11 hours late, after backing the train into the platform at the Pacific Central Station, the train still arrived exactly 11 hours after the scheduled arrival, thus maintaining a perfectly allotted travel time. The last time they saw this scene was when still celebrating their recent engagement, they boarded # 4, the eastbound 'Super Continental' on September 26, 1988 with a connection for the the #2 'Canadian' at Winnipeg, bound for Toronto. Knowing that it might be some time before they get back to Vancouver-especially by train-the photographer captured this final image of the 'Glacier Park' following their 4,466 kilometre adventure.
