Caption: In September 2011, my wife and I headed east for our honeymoon. With ample time on our side, I managed to visit several locations that I had only seen through other photographer’s images. We both discovered that Halifax can certainly be a challenging city to photograph rail operations, while in the end the few trains I shot were worth the effort as it gave me a different perspective of Canadian railroading.
CN SD40-2(W) 5339, which was still painted in the CNNA scheme, is seen setting-off priority loaded container traffic that had just arrived off a westbound train at a container facility located nearby CN’s Rockingham yard.
