Mechanical issues forced GEXR train 582 to spend the previous night outlawed in Guelph. Tuesday night the train finally made its way home to Cambridge. Here we see former CN GP40W 3030 on former CN rails waiting out the night at the lumber yard with GP38 #2236 idling away in the bitter cold behind, awaiting the mornings call to duty, and yet another trip back to Guelph. The lighting at a car dealership and the lumber yard do a lot to aid night photography here.

  1. Nice. Well done on the night time exposure.

  2. Yeah, nice. Looks a bit nippy out there in the night air.

  3. Spectacular! Thanks so much for posting this Marcus. Neat with the exhaust. :-)

  4. Thanks everyone.
I was hoping the exhaust was going to expose like that, too bad both units weren’t on though, would have made the effect even better :)

  5. Nicely done Marcus.

I can’t believe that 2236 is still on the GEXR !

  6. Is the “3″ in the numberboard of 2236 backwards?
