January 25, 2008, on board train 570 heading south to Williams Lake. We had done some switching at Dunkley Lumber mill and had just departed at 20:57. Took a few grab shots as we headed into the snow belt area between Dunkley and Cotwood. More snow was falling and we still had miles to go on this mid-winter evening. MoW crews have been busy, using a ballast regulator pushing the snow from the tracks.

  1. Looks like a snowmobile trail to me, you can barely make out the rails. :)

  2. Great shot. Well done.

  3. Considering most of my images were taken with a 4 meg Cannon “Powershot 85″ I think they turned out quite well. Unfortunately the the imagery is not large enough for publication in various magazines such as Trains etc. I do have slides but will not be sending them anywhere for publication never to receive the originals back.

  4. Most of my images are shot with a iPhone 6S Plus. Some were done on an Asus Zenfone 3. Whether I’ll upload them here is another guess though. I’d have to pull them off iCloud.

  5. Just makes you wanna run right out and sign up for the next Conductor’s class….LOL.
Don’t forget the toothpix so you can hold your eyelids open at 0315 !!
