Caption: There was no way of getting around that annoying sumac, which was a shame because this was an interesting image with two paint variants of CP being passed by CN just east of the Ham Jct sign. CNs SW8 # 7168 was gone by 1989, whereas the CP SW1200RS units were renumbered, 8144 became 1239 in 1981 and the 8164 became 1251 in 1984. These common switchers,once everywhere it seems, are now almost extinct.
