CN GMD1 1900 shuffles cars at the Winnipeg depot on a frigid morning in February 1986 (-30, as I recall). Before the November 1981 VIA cuts, CN provided two steam generator equipped units for passenger switching in Winnipeg from its pool of four (1900-1903). After that, until the "end of steam", one unit was sufficient.
