Caption: I was riding my bike down Dougall Ave. when I saw this Local creeping under the E.C. Row Expwy, so I parked it and walked up the embankment to catch these two GP 9's returning to Van de Water Yard with eight loaded racks from Gen Auto, which closed a couple of years after this photo. The yard where Gen Auto was once located is now used to load Chrysler products onto autoracks, much busier with what seems to be an average of 25 cars per day. Note in the lower right you can see a stamp for 1930, when the bridge was built by the Michigan Central RR. In the right evening light you can see the letters 'M.C.R.R.' bleeding through the faded paint on the bridge.

Neat shot of a seldom seen location. Nicely done, Myles.
