Caption: Here we see a meet between train 439 (at right) and a local freight at Howard Ave. on the CASO. I had begun chasing the local to Hiram Walkers (GP9, GP38 and 1 tank) as they left Van de Water Yard and planned to shoot him at Howard and other spots along the way. As I stood there taking my pictures I had no idea that 439 was approaching behind me, but as soon as I put my camera down I saw it coming and was lucky enough to get this shot off of the two passing by each other. 439 would almost always use the crossovers located about 10 cars back to access the yard, but on some occasions, like when a yard job needed headroom on the main, or in this case a local is working, they would stay on the south track and use the crossovers past Dougall Ave. The track 5754 is on is now out of service.
