Caption: This station at Mimico was the third located here since the railway was first built back in the 1850s. Grand Trunk built this one, over 1916-1917, and it remained in passenger service until the late 1960s. Since this was a rather extensive railroad operation here, the old station remained in service as a sleeping quarters for employees, finally being abandoned by CN in 1989. In 2000 the threat to have the station demolished emerged. A group was formed to stall this destruction, and in 2004 the Mimico Station Community Organization effectively halted any idea of tearing the old place down. The station was moved away from the tracks, restored to be re-purposed. Perhaps a museum? Anyone know?

was moved to be a condo sales office I believe
It is now on Judson Street just west of Royal York Road.
Thanks guys. Last time I saw the building it was fenced and under renovation. Condo sales makes sense. Thats all they seem to build down that way any more.
The use as a condo sales office is temporary, pending the completion of the building. As part of that usage the building was fixed up, and it is ultimately planned to become a part of a community museum.
