Weekend train 422 is short enough to enter Aldershot Yard from the west end, under the CN Snake (Road) signal gantry a mile away. Less common in recent years is all-GM power, CN 8932 (SD70M-2, CN class GF-643h) leading CN 5431 (standard cab SD60 ex-EMDX/Oakway, CN class GF-638c). The Niagara escarpment is the high background. Tip-over warnings on the lumber cars are clear, I wonder how often that happens.

  1. The warning on the centre beams are for the lumber facilities that load and unload these cars.
