Golden BC being a division point; junction of Windermere and Mountain subs, it became quite the busy train town. Up unto about 25 years ago this station served the railway; after it outlived it's usefulness the 1904-built station was moved, and has begun a new life as an area museum. I was unable to remember its exact location along the line, so correction would be appreciated.

  1. the blue beast made it all the way out west….

  2. Wow! Really excellent picture of this station. With very typical Golden weather with the cloud base almost on the ground. Noticing the date you took this, were you treated with a freight headed east with what seemed like an army of SD40′s and whatever else moving it? Jasper is great train watching, you came to Golden to watch the power. :-)

  3. Thank you sir. Best I saw was 4 SDs coming out of Field heading west……

  4. Yes, snake……the blue beast not only made it west, it took the blonde along as well.
